IMPACT is a group of men and women artists living in Nebraska. IMPACT has a successful 19-year history, with exhibitions in the Washington Capitol Rotunda, and exhibitions over a twenty-six state region. Check out the website for more information.

Call For Artists Juried Art Competition for the 12th Annual Art & Soup Fundraiser. The VNA is seeking 2- and 3-dimensional artwork, as well as Jewelry/Wearable art for the 12th Annual Art & Soup fundraiser. Proceeds benefit its Shelter Nursing program, which provides public health nursing services to children and adults living in Omaha and Council Bluffs homeless shelters. Entry form must be submitted by September 15, 2008 and all artists will be notified by October 15, 2008.

Artists explore food in “8/ate/08” at Hot Shops Art Center
Family dinners, fairy tales, word play and favorite foods appear in “8/ate/08,” organized by the Nebraska Women’s Caucus for Art and opening Aug. 8, 2008, in the Hot Shops Art Center’s Hallway Gallery, 1301 Nicholas St., Omaha. The show will run through August 26.
Each artist worked in an 8-inch square while considering the food theme. Media choices range from oil paintings to linoleum prints to ceramic mosaic to mixed media. About 50 artists are participating in the show.
