A Benefit for Emily Friday
Post By: mick Tue 01/19 21:22
The Prairie Cats sent out this email and I wanted to pass the info on for your show consideration.

Hey, everyone. Want to tell you about a great event this Friday. Larry and Jeff from Prairie Cats will be doing a set--yes, just the two of them without drums and horns--as will Josh Koterba of Sail by the Stars. If you're nice he might even sing that song that appeared on MTV's Real World. Not to mention a line-up of other great bands...

Support Emily Koesters with some amazing music at the Slowdown!

This sweet 6- year-old little girl from Gretna, NE suffers from a rare genetic disorder. There are only three other cases of this disorder in the United States. Because of this disease, Emily experienced kidney failure and received a transplant from her daddy in 2008. Doctors recently discovered a fungal infection in the donor kidney. A side effect of the anti-rejection drugs is Lymphoma. Emily has stage 3 cancer.

Her parents Joe and Erin really need your help! Please invite all of your friends!

Tickets are $10.
Band Order - Music Starts at 8:00pm

Sail by the Stars
Sarah Benck
Midwest Dilemma
Jeff Koterba & Larry Fredrickson of The Prairie Cats
Shurthing!

You can purchase advanced tickets for $10 at the Slowdown website: http://www.theslowdown.com/events/a-benefit-for-emily/

If you can't make it to the event please donate to Emily!

There's something about doing a benefit for people you know that makes it all a bit more "real". We'll see you there!

What a great show last night! Thanks to all who helped make this happen . . . there were quite a few of you, and I know one family who appreciates that work very much.
