Yep! They still got it. "The Latest" comes out on June 23rd and I am def picking it up. After all these years Robin Zander is still the greatest vocalist in rock and roll!
"Rockford" and "Special One" were underrated gems.
It still baffles me why Cheap Trick have not had consistent popularity similar to they're peers whom started out around the same era such as Aerosmith and KISS.

I've got the Tom Petersson 12 string from Waterstone. Beautiful, amazing instrument that (surprise, surprise) only really works for me when playing Cheap Trick tunes.

True, Spade. I've broke it out on Black Flag a few times, and it sounds like a truck.

Yup. Some day....some day.
Neck dive issues? Most I've tried seemed to want to hit the floor and that kind of grip messes with my left wrist. Going medium or short scale would help in theory, but that'd be custom and damn expensive.

For a brief time Cheap Trick were able to sell out the Civic Auditorium. It was summer of 1979, and they're opening act was a an up and coming band called AC/DC (they're then singer Bon Scott died 6 months later)who were promoting they're soon to be released album "Highway To Hell"!

Yes, neck dive is an issue. Waterstone does make a short/medium scale version.

Interesting. I might look at that some time. I had been drawing up some plans for something better balanced, although finding a bridge was the limiting step.

The next time I'm sitting in the Barley with any of y'all, ask me about the time I worked for Cheap Trick at The Ranch Bowl. I can milk THAT story for about two hours (as long as you're buying).

I saw them play Peru State colleges homecoming. It might have been a low point for them career wise but they still rocked like it was 50,000 people, and had a great time. They were great!!!
