"Creating Connections", an exhibit of art works
created by art educators from central and eastern Nebraska, will be on
display at L'eglise Art Center & Gallery in Aurora, May 2 – June
28, 2008. Art works included in the exhibit will encompass a variety
of mediums, reflecting the diverse personalities and perspectives of
their creators. Visitors will be treated to an eclectic palette of textures
and colors, as well as subjects and styles as they view textiles, paintings,
photography, and ceramic sculpture among others. An opening reception
will be held Saturday, May 3, from 2-4pm. Many of the artists plan to
be in attendance, and one of the featured artists, Jo Brown of Lincoln,
will perform original compositions on piano. The public is invited to
attend this free event.
